Donation Refund Policy

At Hope Foundation, we greatly appreciate your generous support. We understand that sometimes circumstances change, and we have established the following refund policy for donations.

Eligibility for Refunds

Refund requests may be considered in the following situations:

  • Duplicate donations made in error
  • Incorrect donation amount entered
  • Technical errors during the donation process
  • Unauthorized transactions

Refund Request Timeline

Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the original donation date. Requests submitted after this period may not be honored except in exceptional circumstances.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us with the following information:

  • Your full name
  • Email address used for the donation
  • Date of donation
  • Donation amount
  • Transaction ID or receipt number
  • Reason for refund request

Processing Time

Approved refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days. The refund will be credited to the original payment method used for the donation.

Recurring Donation Cancellation

Monthly/Annual Donations

If you have set up a recurring donation, you may cancel it at any time. To cancel:

  • Log into your donor account on our website
  • Navigate to "Manage Donations"
  • Select "Cancel Recurring Donation"
  • Or contact us directly at donations@hopefoundation.org

Cancellation Timeline

Cancellation requests must be received at least 5 business days before the next scheduled donation date to prevent the next payment from being processed.

Non-Refundable Situations

Please note that refunds will generally not be provided for:

  • Donations made more than 30 days ago (except in exceptional circumstances)
  • Donations where funds have already been allocated to specific programs
  • Event tickets or sponsorships (unless the event is cancelled)
  • In-kind donations or donated goods

Tax Receipts

If a donation is refunded, any tax receipt issued for that donation will be voided. We will notify the relevant tax authorities as required by law.

Event Cancellation Policy

Organization-Initiated Cancellations

If Hope Foundation cancels an event, all ticket holders will receive a full refund or the option to convert their payment to a tax-deductible donation.

Participant-Initiated Cancellations

Event ticket refund policies vary by event:

  • More than 30 days before event: Full refund minus processing fees
  • 15-30 days before event: 50% refund
  • Less than 15 days before event: No refund, but may transfer to another participant
